Bio
Sky Brown is a double whammy, a professional skateboarder and surfer from Miyazaki, Japan who started shredding when she was just two! A phenomenon that garners lots of attention on Youtube where people are amazed at how talented this tiny tot is. With a Japanese mother and a British father, Sky competed for Team Great Britain in 2021 in Tokyo, making her one of the youngest athletes to ever compete in the Summer Games. She’s nabbed numerous placings in competitions over the last few years, such as 2nd place in the Stab High in 2019. She’s just as good on land as in the air, winning ABCs hit TV competition show, Dancing with the Stars.
Not only can she surf and skateboard, she’s an unreal snowboarder, can ride a BMX better than the boys, knows how to kick-box, loves to dance, sing and play the guitar and even has released her own music video! She can play tennis and chess, enjoys art and painting and of course can wake surf and wakeboard. Skye says her hidden talent is ping pong - a true prodigy that proves barriers are made to be broken and life is all about trying new things and having fun! If skateboarding has taught her anything, it’s about falling and getting back up; and after a really bad slam recently, this is truer than ever. Her personal motto is “Be Strong, Be Brave and do it because you love it.”
Sky is determined to be an inspiration and idol for young girls, especially in vulnerable places. She wants to change their lives and empower them by introducing surfing and skateboarding. She also wants to show girls that skateboarding is not just for the boys, it’s really graceful and beautiful. “I don’t think gender matters, what matters most is individual skating style.” Big things come in small packages, and this 13 year old is case in point. The sky is the limit for Miss Brown.
