Despite a grueling three-plane journey with surfboards in tow, the warm welcome of the locals, the delicious meals, and endless waves made it all worthwhile. Whether surfing the perfect A-frame waves in front of the resort or chasing barrels on a neighbouring island, the trip was a triumphant return to the ocean after a long hiatus. The island's unique blend of culture, governed by Sharia law, added an extra layer of fascination to this unforgettable adventure.
